These Terms of Service govern your use of www.kodaistudio.com and any purchase made through the website. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1.1 About Kodai Studio

Kodai Studio is a trading name of Kodai Clothing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Kodai Studio creates and sells handmade travel backgammon boards.

1.2 Products

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, materials, colours and photographs are accurate. Because our products are handmade and photographed under different lighting and on different screens, colours and textures may vary slightly from the images shown on the website.

Each board is individually handcrafted and embroidered. Small variations are a natural part of the handmade process and are not considered defects where the product remains consistent with its description.

We reserve the right to update product details, prices, availability or discontinue products where necessary.

1.3 Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£). VAT will be treated in accordance with Kodai Clothing Limited's current VAT status and the applicable rules for the customer's destination.

Payment is due in full at checkout. Payments are processed through the payment methods made available through Shopify checkout. We do not have access to your full payment-card details.

1.4 Orders and acceptance

After you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order; the contract for sale is subject to the applicable consumer rules and our acceptance of the order.

We may contact you if there is a problem with your order, including an issue with payment, stock, delivery information or an obvious pricing error.

1.5 Made-to-order boards

Boards are made to order. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your board to be handcrafted, plus delivery time. We will send a dispatch confirmation when your order has been shipped.

A standard board made to order is not automatically excluded from consumer cancellation rights simply because it is made after the order is placed. Any exception for personalised or customised goods applies only where the product has genuinely been made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised.

1.6 Intellectual property

All website content, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, original artwork and designs, is owned by or licensed to Kodai Clothing Limited/Kodai Studio unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute or commercially use our content or designs without prior written permission.

1.7 Website use

You agree not to use the website unlawfully or in a way that could damage, disable or interfere with the website or its operation.

1.8 Third-party services

The website may use third-party services such as Shopify, payment providers, delivery companies, analytics tools and social-media or marketing services. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.

1.9 Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or products where such limitation is permitted by law.

1.10 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living outside England and Wales, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
